Axl comes out all Guns blazing, there's no Roses from Irish fans though!

As if the world and its mother didn't already think Axl Rose was a bit mad, last night's Guns 'N Roses gig in the O2 in Dublin only served to put the final nail in the proverbial coffin that is the whole debate.

Have a look at this video which charts most of the debacle, although not the part where Axl came back on stage at almost 11.30pm, after the house lights had come back on and the crowd had been told the gig was over, and played til nearly 1am...

A rough few weeks for the world of Metal...

First Pete Steele, then Ronnie James Dio, now Paul Gray from Slipknot.

It's been a rough few weeks for lovers of heavy metal, further exacerbated by the announcement that Slipknot's bass player, Paul Gray, was found dead yesterday.

RIP Paul.

"Lost"? Yup, it's fair to say we still are...

After much confusion, misdirection and sheer what-the-hell-is-going-on-ness, US TV series "Lost" has come to an end.
Both Pam and John are devastated. But: was the island purgatory? Or was the flash-sideways? Where was Walt? Why was Penny in the church with Desmond, cos she wasn't on the plane?
The debate rages on...

RIP Pete Steele

Goth metal isn't the usual Live Drive fare, but metal fans the world over, Pam included, were saddened to hear of the death on Wednesday of Pete Steele, lead singer of the band Type O Negative. RIP Pete.

Taking place in the Tiesan Cafe on Harrington Street, the retrospective will feature 13 of his favourite images and each print is unique to the exhibition.
