So it's the June Bank Holiday this weekend (where does the time go!?) and with
it comes the usual array of events including Bloom 2013 in the Phoenix Park,
Forbidden Fruit in Kilmainham and the Flora Women's Mini Marathon. Below are a
few of the traffic restrictions you may want to watch out for:
BLOOM (Thursday - Monday Inclusive)
The Ashtown Gate will be closed
on event days to public traffic, except for the Emergency Services.
The North Road will operate on
a one-way system to facilitate traffic.
On entering the Phoenix Park
via Cabra Gate, there will be no right turn (except for Bloom traffic): there
will be a left turn only in the direction of Parkgate Street.
The Odd Lamp Road will be
opened for the event, but no parking will be permitted in this area.
Parking on Chesterfield Avenue
will be restricted from Mountjoy Cross Roundabout to beyond the Phoenix
Monument.
All of Chesterfield Avenue will
be open this weekend.
Forbidden Fruit (Saturday And
Sunday)
No on-site parking will be
permitted for the duration of the festival and a one-way system will be in operation on Kilmainham Lane for brief periods from time to time.
Flora Mini Marathon (Monday)
We have a blog post from
yesterday outlining all the closures and restrictions in place to facilitate
the marathon. There's a lot of them so plan your journey carefully if you're
travelling around Dublin on Monday.
