If you normally travel from Lucan to the N7 via Citywest try going through Newcastle and come on to the N7 at Rathcoole.
An Garda Síochána, South Dublin County Council and the NRA have the following advice for motorists intending to travel to Dublin from the South and West during this time.
- Travelling from Waterford you are requested to use N25 – N30 – N11 route (via New Ross and Enniscorty)
- Travelling from Limerick you are requested to use N52 – M6 – M4 route (via Nenagh and Tullamore)
- Travelling from Carlow and Kilkenny you are requested to use N81 route (via Tullow and Baltinglass)
- Travelling from Naas, Newbridge and Kildare areas you requested to use M4 or N81 routes and avoid the N7 at Citywest.
- Travelling to Tallaght, Clondalkin or Lucan you are requested to use exit 4 (Rathcoole) and follow detour to Outer Ring Road
- Access from Rathcoole to the N7 will not be permitted in the direction of Citywest a detour will be in place.
- Citywest traffic will be diverted via Kingswood interchange.
