Aidadas Half Marathon - Phoenix Park Saturday the 26th

Anyone heading to Phoenix Park this Saturday should take note that the Adidas Half Marathon Road Race will tbe taking place. The race begins at 10 am and the route will have competitors running from Chesterfield Ave through Lord’s Walk, Spa Rd, North Rd, Mountjoy Cross. Runners will then come back to Chesterfield Ave, and through Wellington Rd, Acres Rd, Military Rd, Glen Rd (Upr & Lwr), onto Ordnance Survey Rd and back to Chesterfield Ave

There will be a number of gate and road cloures as a result:

Chesterfield Ave will close from 7am to 12:30pm, from 9:30am to 11am
The Main Gate will close. From 9:45am to 12pm Castleknock Gate, Ashtown Gate and Cabra Gate will close.
Ordnance Survey Rd, Upper Glenn Rd and Knockmaroon Gate will close from 9:45am to 2pm. North Rd will close from 9:45am to 11:30am and Island Bridge Rd will close from 10am to 1pm.

Phoenix Park Works

Anyone who normally travels through Castlknock and the Phoenix Park should take note. Castleknock Gate in the Phoenix Park will be closed to all cars for 9 weeks from September 28th, but cyclists and pedestrians will still be able to use it. This will definately cause delays in the area.

There will be Luas testing on Amienst Street today between 10 and 4. Expect delays on Commons Street, Commons Street and Amiens Street as a result.

Tomorrow Wednesday the 16th and Thursday the the 17th Amiens St will Close from 7 pm until 6 am for Luas testing. The same closure will take place next Tuesday the 22nd and Wednesday the 23rd of September .

Coldplay Road Closures



Coldplay perform at The Phoenix Park this evening. Gates open at 5pm and the show starts at 6:15pm. Some road closures will be in place from 6pm until 1am to facilitate the concert. Chesterfield Ave, Acres Rd, Cabra/Mountjoy Cross Rd, Knockmaroon Gate, Ashtown Gate and Castleknock Gate will all be closed close.
